Middle School Orchestra (2nd year+)

Middle school builds upon the foundation of what students learn in their first years of orchestra. Students continue building technique while gaining focus on broader concepts such as collaboration, curiosity, and group sound.

This one‑page review gives 2nd‑year orchestra students a quick, confidence‑building refresher on last year’s essential skills—posture, bow hold, left‑hand shape, and basic rhythm reading—while offering warm‑ups, vocabulary, and simple self‑checks they can use during rehearsals.

This example uses the key of C major with different variations of left-hand, rhythm, and bow patterns to incorporate off-beats in to our practice and performance.
